Challenge
Building a Horizon Worlds environment that supported up to 18 users simultaneously, streamed VR video globally, hosted over six unique games, and maintained a frame rate above 72 fps posed significant technical challenges.
Solution
The team optimized every aspect of the virtual environment, from asset design to server performance. We reduced polygon counts, implemented efficient scripting for games, and leveraged advanced rendering techniques to ensure a smooth experience for users worldwide.

Results
Since its launch in late 2024, ESPN Tailgate has been a tremendous success. Every day, thousands of fans visit the virtual world to play games, record segments at the First Take desk, and watch VR content on the big screen. Looking ahead to 2025, the world will continue to evolve with new updates and additional VR video content.
